San Francisco, fundraising and such.

In case you haven't heard...

We're Going to San Francisco on April 1st!

I've got 9 people down to go so far. Let me know if you want to tag along. It should be fun! As of now we've got Dubberly Design Studio confirmed for that Thursday at 1:00pm. We will be hearing back from others within the next couple of days about other studios we may attend.

Anybody from the Bay? I know a couple people are. You guys can be our guides - there are a million good places for dinner in the city, help us narrow it down. That being said - plan to bring money to chip in on gas and get some food.

I'm going to ask people to keep their receipts. Our upcoming fundraiser should pay us back for this trip in my opinion, but what we do with our money is up for discussion.

We need money to do stuff.

This brings us to the Fundraiser. Our plan is to set up a table on campus soon and sell stuff. Suggestions are decals, customized t-shirts, customized red cups, baked goods, bookmarks and more. Our general idea was that we can pretty much sell whatever we think will sell ....within reason of course. The semester is going fast, but let's find something to spend money on LOL. I think we can handle that - but first we need to get some cash.

So here's a task for ALL of our members: Come up with something you think will sell and post it on the facebook page. Suggestion: Keep vinyl sticker stuff in mind, that can be a big money maker.

Who wants to come run the booth? Email me or post on the facebook page. We need a couple of volunteers. I'll be there for sure, but I think the more the merrier. We've got a "water-pong" idea going.....it should attract people to come show their skills with a ping-pong ball....

The T-shirt design contest continues.

Yep, we still need designs for our t-shirts. We've got 1 so far. Better come up with something or I think we'll have an un-opposed design!!! That'll be preeettyy embarrassing for us - you know, being a design group and all. ha ha! You can send me designs or bring them to our next meeting. Remember - two color designs, front only. We will discuss details more after designs are in and we go to screen.
